of Jordan. They moved to the area from Silesia, Prussia, in 1854.

- Florian Hoffman B. 28 Feb 1899 D. 15 Sep 1982
- Sophia Schommer B. 10 Sep 1901 D. 11 Oct 1995
- Florian and Sophia were married on 24 Nov 1925 in Belle Plaine, MN

Florian Hoffman is the son of Michael Hoffman and Sophia Lux who were
married in Jordan on 16 Dec 1889, then moved to Burton Twp in Yellow
Medicine County, MN.

Eugene Barnes has submitted two homestead patent records for a Comfort Barnes Sr., and Comfort Barnes Jr., dated March 19, 1837, and a Franklin Wasson, dated April 2, 1857 and October 30, 1857. These were sent to him by a former Minnesota resident but after receiving them Eugene realized they were not related to his family. Eugene has sent copies of the certificates to me and I will gladly forward them to anyone who can prove relationship. Please e-mail me at schumanC@comcast.net

I'm trying to find information on my father's sister, Geraldine "Gerry" Jean VIERLING. She married twice. 1) Joseph PACHECO-they had five children. I don't know the name of her second husband. She was born May 1928 in Shakopee and died abt. 1968. I haven't been able to locate her death cert. because she may have died in Los Angeles or San Francisco CA or Hawaii.
