PENSIONERS ON THE ROLL IN SCOTT COUNTY MINNESOTA AS OF JANUARY 1, 1883. On December 8, 1882, the U.S. Senate passed a Resolution calling for a listing of all those receiving a military pension on 1 January, 1883. Each state was required to produce a list, giving the name of the prensioner, the cause for which pensioned, the post office, and the date of the original allowance. Although Minnesota did not become a Territory until 1849 and a state until 1858, this list contains a substantial number of prnsioners for the War of 1812. |
